Agreed........but if you will have to go to appeals if your case is legit to be reopened/reconsidered and be approved...........for any other reason if at all its not goona be approved........you cant get any visa for USA.........hence this low probablity case will be for those who are in good standing in terms of immigration else - go back to the home country..........

Doing masters is not a problem.
U21 has another alternative where they give degree from University of Malbourne, which got AACSB accreditation this year only. If I will continue the education and complete masters and get a degree from University of Malbourne then U21. Will that work?

DL is issued in CO upto the validity of your I-94, which is fine.
So, for each H1 renewal or extension, you have to queue up in DL office. Also, for dependents visa holders (H4), before you go to DL office, you have to go to SS office, get a letter from them that a SSN cannot be and will not be issued. Such a hassle.
In FL, it is being extended to only 1-94 date.

The report wants all PhDs in science and technology with 1 year job experience to be allowed automatic AOS benefits (and not just for some future F4 graduates). Again, the report in general talks about all the sciences- specifically highlighting benefits of the life sciences in several pages- and not just the physical sciences. It is for this reason, and if we correctly reference our arguments, that their reasonableness will be obvious to any and every US lawmaker and his/her staff. Had we demanded these based just on our requirements or wishes, it would have had virtually zero chance of getting through. For exact references to the National Academies report, look up the attached letter in the thread linked above.

We are in exact same scenario, but was thinking that H4 holder has to enter using AP to continue to use EAD after "vacation" . So is it like, Use H4 for travel and EAD to work, instead of , Use AP for travel and EAD to work? This will be of great help to many people who are scared to use AP or not want to face the extra half hour at immigration counters.

I am in the same boat. In my online status it showed exactly same msg. Then after couple of days it started showing the following msg:
Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: This case has been sent to our local office for processing.
On May 19, 2008, we transferred this case to our DES MOINES, IA location for additional processing. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. Filed 485 during July 07. The receipt number was WAC*******, I got receipt notice and Transfer notice saying my case was "transferred to another USCIS center where it is currently being processed" but didn't mention to which center. I assumed it was TSC as I'm from NJ.
First EAD that I renewed in 2008 had RN as SRC**** and I got the cards with from address as Texas. I had sent the application to Dallas drop box.
Second (2010) EAD had RN as WAC******* and this time I got cards with from address as California.
I had assumed that all GC processing (485, EAD, AP) were being done from either NSC or TSC, probably not.
And I only had two changes to LUD, one during first FP notice in Jan 08, and another when I used AP to come back into US in May 09. Didn't have any RFE till now. Not sure if pre-adjudication triggers any LUD. If it does it would mean the case is not adjudicated which is hard to believe with the filing being almost 3 yrs ago. Does this sound normal (having the case worked in so many centers though I am NJ resident since 2005). What are my options in regard to contacting USCIS regarding getting latest update on my case.

Please do not mix social issues with immigration, this is not a forum about one particular country or its social manifestations (like how do I marry?, should I stay single forever? How am I going to find a girl?). These questions are absurd from American / immigration standpoint. If you already have a spouse and have immigration issues related to those situations then yes that is valid to ask here but otherwise (But how do I get the spouse then???) is purely a social / cultural issue. Please stick to immigration issues.

call ur airport, I remember a friend got his I94 extended based on new I797 at the airport.
BTW- if u have an approved I797 and an expired I94, u are not out of status....when u travel next time out of country...keep current docs with u and when u reenter...the POE officer will give u i94 based on ur latest I797..
What I dont understand is when u entered US in may 06, with a I797 of 2010

That's because my current 797 was valid till Jun 2007 and he said he can only stamp the date that is on the current 797. I guess it depends on the POE officer and in my case its unfortunate that it got messed up. Someone in the forum mentioned that he got it for 3 years. I think its very very YMMV :confused:

I know Immigration voice is not for profit organization and it is doing a great job.
My intention is not to belittle IV, my intention is just to express my opinion as a user, most of the problem will be solved if the links are not shown to non members if they are not allowed to see the content.
I just saw your post in YouTube, it is very informative.
All the time that IV volunteers put in and the lobbying efforts don't come free. There is a cost associated with it. As tonyHK12, I'd rather trust IV and risk $25 a month than leave everything up to chance and hope. Just my 2 cents.
