Just to note: SR's are usually just a form of USCIS sending a status in the form of a letter in about 45-60 days (if at all you are lucky to get one!). If in the first 45 days they do not respond, what they do is just beyond belief ! They do not escalate the SR but just open another one.
All in all, SR's are utterly useless. I had always got info directly from an NSC IIO; not the contract CSR's or their level 2 non NSC/TSC IIO's sitting in the Western Regional Center NCSC (National Customer Service Center) who do not have granular info on cases as do the NSC/TSC IIO's.

The biggest stumbling block to skilled immigration reform has been the democrats, particularly from CA. They know that the more educated and high paid a person is there is less chance of them voting Democrats. Whereas illiterate farm workers and others with little English language skills will be a perpetual vote bank for those that where responsible to get them legal status. Because CA is overwhelmingly decmocratic, politicians tend to show their true colors. On the other side, deeply conservative North Dakota which has a population of around 600k, had a NEGATIVE growth of 1% in the the last census, compared to 5% growth in the US population (5 year period), BUT we had their democratic senator Dorgan, vote against CIR! How zenophobic can one get! That is how "local" the politics in US can become. The same goes with the deep south - the bible belt where support for both legal and illegal is tepid.

My Family came to US from India via Frankfurt (Lufthansa airlines) last week and had no issues. All they had was AP (no other visa). No problems in India, Frankfurt or US (had to wait for secondary inspection where they were asked nothing ).

My last post in the matter:
There is a good possibility of a border security bill this month. Whether this bill will pass or not is anybody's guess. But in order to have a fair chance we should NOT ask a lot. This is one thing we should learn from S.1932, moments after the immigration related clauses were added in the Senate bill there were press releases saying "Senate Sellout American Jobs" and sworn opposition. The entire immigration related clauses were dropped becasue that's the only way to get the bill passed. The same could happen if we ask too much, if the headlines looks like "Relief on the way for Nursing Shortage" or some other business friendly headline. This way we can have a small increase/recapture in visa numbers and it will look fair to all. There is always a thin line regarding how much, that can always be negotiated. Asking too much of immigration increase in a border security bill is a bad idea.

Do you know that you can get a nanny here in the US for 200-300 bucks a week? Or send your kids to Home day cares? Or efficiently run Church day cares? and even proffesionally run day cares.
there are lots of indian ladies on family based GCs/citizenship who might be able to help you out.
google for nanny and you will get nanny matchin service sites. look up on craigslist. post for a 'nanny wanted' at your Indian store. and there are nannies for children with special needs too, no i aint talkin about you.

So hang tight for one more day and you will see it all on their website.
By the way, I do personally believe that it would be only fair to include all the FOIA donors in the information sharing by IV, but it's just a personal opinion. Different people may have different views on it.

To get to this stage where USCIS is hearing constrructive criticism and doing this speaks volumes that IV has come..I am hoping that something can be done for Eb-3 I...we assumed that 2001 -04 people will get releif this year or next ...now that seems to be a pipe dream..;)

1.Company "should have" the capacity to pay 80k when he gets GC, this is through tax-returns etc.
2.OR he should be paid 80k when he Labor is filed.
In his case, item 2 is the one which works but USCIS is coming after Item 1 and that becomes difficult task because how can you pay 80K when you don't have enough profit etc..
how can even you question company when the applicant has already ported under AC21 and switched employers. From that time, the new employer is responsible for paying proffered wages and thats what document they ask for when issuing AC21 RFE.

Well, I would not go out that far to think he is against Indian community - he may just be against EB immigrants. The Dems sure do want to put Family based immigration ahead of EB immigration and they won't hesitate to use us as sacrificial goats to get FB immigration the advantage.
I am not sure who makes decisions for IV but certainly they are not logical. Going against business and capitalism was never the solution for this mess. We should have supported Mccain but this forum loved Obama. As I predicted this earlier, bear the consequences.

Unfortunately the memo doesnt address AC21 usage or anything like that at all.
One thing is certain, USCIS will get a lot of applications now for Advance Parole. I think they just resolved the shortfall in revenue resulting from a decrease in fees.

Well, it is just not easy to convince people and organize people so easily that all you do is a "holler" and everyone follow. It takes time for people to realize.
Running public organization like this needs a very different kind of PR skills. A cheerful, caring, hopeful face brings in more support. Believe me thats how people look up to leaders.
