Hey guys,
I have a question to all of you...
AILA prepares the lawsuit and some (probably most) of the lawyers are supporting that.
For several days I keep hearing that WHEN you file (in July) is not important and I am wondering how that could be true...
I understand that the people who filed on July 2nd are beneficiaries of this but in my mind, everybody who files after falls under a different category because technically they would file after the revised bulletin was announced therefore have no argument. I understand that everybody else prepared (legal fees, medical exam and so on) and they are affected even if they didn't file but I am wondering how that can be justification enough after the dates (retrogression) were announced.
I am trying to understand why they say that it does not matter when you file. They need more people to back this up or is just so they can justify billing you for their work...
Is just scary, how many people play with our hopes and I need to understand if this is just to serve somebody's interests or it is what it is .

Tina, my wife has the exact same issue. Pl advise. She is workng on H1 but getting delayed pay and paystubs and no W2 for 2006 since she dd not have SSN until feb 2007. To be safe, she wants to apply for H4 in Chennai although she still has valid H1. have 2 questions.'
1. can we fix a web appointment thru VFS for H4 visa stamping for her, even though she is on H1 right now and does not have H4 I797? I will add he as my dependent, since I am doing my H1 renewal as well and my case is strong
2. will they ask for her h1 paystubs and W2s if she is applying for H4 in chennai? Hopefully not. she has an expired H4 visa so she cannot re-enter on H4 visa.
3. also is it possible to travel from Atlanta or nearby to chennai without getting transit visa since we might not have time and aretravelling on expired visas. any short routes airlines you know?(singapore does not need transit visas?)even european cities that dont ask for transit visas will be fine.

Apparently someone flagged me.. thats fine.. if people here cannot have a proper discussion without having to flag each other I dont see any point in calling ourselves "smart" "highly skilled".. looks like we need to grow up first. Did you hear that they were trying to eliminate AC21? So what's the benefit of filing I485 considering all the backlogs? Without AC21, you still have to start all over again should you lose your job.
Pure stupidity on those bueracrats!

I ran these through my program but it is returning NULL.
I guess each object needs to have a voting property or Lobby class attached to it. Without that you will only get Null values in return.

Just to follow up on BKarnik's response. Eventually, all DMV will be on the same page. As I'v mentioned earlier, some dmv branch office here in colorado have no clue why the computer system was referring my friend to MVI and after my friend went to another branch, that's were they found out that this new procedure was implemented just in August 2006.
If it has not happened in some other states, that's good and I hope this procedure will succeed.
Remember, this has no exception even for citizens.
Again, this is so in Colorado.

The only reason i feel this so called "family-bill" will not generate too much anti-immigrant sentiment is because it doesn't have the baggage of being termed the CIR bill.
The very mention of the word CIR stirs up strong responses and emotions from all parties involved.
This bill seems to tackle a smaller problem rather than going for a big bang solution that the CIR would attempt. That's why i felt it might have a better chance to succeed.

I agree with the analysis given by willwin. In fact, I was thinking on similar lines. If no visas are wasted and total number of pending employment based visas is around 200,000 as given by Mr. Op.. himself, I do not see any reason why dates do not move. My estimation is both EB-2 and EB-3 dates for China and India will hover in the range of 2005 ~ 2006. This estimation is based on number of applications filed during Pre-PERM and Post-PERM era with two recessions taking the toll on number of applications received by USCIS.
Only assumptions in the above analysis are
1. Figures given by Mr. Op.. is somewhat correct. (Seems to be correct based on monthly statistics released by USCIS since 2008)
2. USCIS does not intend to waste visas.(This also can be safely assumed as they are following the policy of not wasting for the last two years)
3.No country limit. (This seems correct if point 2 is correct)
Now guys, do not disturb my dream.:)

I hope it does some good to you and makes your PD current/closer so that you dont eat/sleep/drink VB. C mon man... There are other things you can do. Dont get offended by what I am saying. If your PD is closer, I can understand your excitement. But a lot of people are just killing time in forums by working their ass off on predictions and call it comic relief. I hope IV core members stop encouraging this kind of behavior.
