So are these different from the finger prints that we take for EAD? For people who got their priority date current, do they ask for a separate finger prints again? Does anyone can shed some light on this?

No it shouldnt take that long. However if you are not in a hurry, wait for 30 days and call the USCIS to see if it was sent back (which is unlikely in your case).
And dont waste your time by calling the officials or making Infopass appointments. Apply for a duplicate EAD asap. Yes, you have to pay the fees.

I have I129 document (Petition for Nonimmigrant worker) which was valid from 10/01/07 to 09/24/2010. However i never used it. As My husband is working in US on H1b visa, i am now looking for job in US. Can you please let me know if this I129 can be used or not. I would highly appreciate early response.

I doubt if immigration would be on his plate for next 8-10 months because of economic downturn. His administration would be busy focusing on taxes, banking reforms, health care, pulling out of Iraq etc. If recession goes away quickly than hoped only then we can expect something about it...
With just 14 days left, it is getting more and more clear tht Obama is going to be the president of the US for atleat next 4 yrs, unless some miracle change the race in coming days. And Projected Senate looks like, democrats will have 60 or almost there which is required to bypass a filibuster and Dems would be incresing their lead in House.
Dont we have to strt sending emails to Obama,Pelosi and Reid after Nov 4th.

Thank you for making it clear. I sent my I-140 towards the end of july, the receipt date is aug 6th. The case got transferred to TSC and then back to NSC on October 8th.

I applied for H1B as a Software Test Engineer and my LCA is applied with the same job description. Now i wish to work as Programmer Analyst in the same location specified in the LCA. will i need to amend my LCA or H1B or is it fine to continue with the same LCA. Are there any chances of my LCA getting denied and how long will it take to get the new LCA. Thanking you in advance.
You will need to have the petitioner file an amended petition only if there has been a material change in the terms and conditions of your employment.
Compare the job duties (not just job titles) of the original and new job to determine if they are in the same Standard Occupational Classification (SOC). See, Find Occupations (http://online.onetcenter.org/find/). If the jobs are in the same SOC, they would both have the same prevailing wage and no material change has occurred. In that case, you may only need to get a new LCA. All LCAs take up to 7 business days to get certified by the DOL. My husband has a pending I-130 visa petition (I am a US citizen, he's Italian, we live in Italy). Can anyone tell me whether he is permitted to enter (and exit, as we are still residents in Italy) the US on holiday (departure 19 dec)?
I have not found any specific details in regard.
