I got the Verizon 64gb iPad2... I get a signal in my office with Verizon. AT&T dies as soon as I go into my office.
And the speeds are pretty decent on it in my area.

I had it when i had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once in the hospital. They wheel you into the OR on a gurney, put you on the table (which is FREEZING COLD, i was shivering like crazy), then they stick the IV in you. This hurts very mildly. Then when they get ready to start the drip, they'll tell you something like "this may burn a bit," but i didn't feel a thing. "try to count down from 10" the doctor told me. I got to 8 when I was like "damn this hits you hard." It felt like just falling asleep, really hard. And then I was out, and the next thing i knew i was in the recovery room, trying to eat some ice.

I can't wait. I love this game and played it not too long ago on emulation. I hope it translates well. A lot of the arcade ports don't translate well since they were designed with a higher level of difficulity in order to force you to spend more money.
I guess the Konami code would work though. I want X-Men Children of the Atom next.

This can be expanded to include buying gear in general, like strobes and backdrops, etc...
You don't need much gear at all to get started doing great photography - you just need to be good with people and have reasonable photo skills. If you are have that, then all you need is a reasonably sharp and long-ish lense and a window. See Lloyd Erlick (http://www.heylloyd.com/) for example. I don't think he is still active, but he was shooting 4x5 BW portraits by window light. I think some of his portraits are the best I have seen. I've learned from him to try and keep my portraits simple. I tell my students that doing portraiture is both the easiest and the most difficult kind of photography there is. Easy because you can make great portraits with window light, and one good lense on a camera. If you want to get fancy you can add a reflector :) . Difficult, because you need to work with people.
One of the things I love about photography is that there's as many approaches to photography as there are photographers. I could never shoot portraits like that.
I love punchy dymanic light with heavy stylisation and lots of retouching, think multiple grided strobes, silver gridded beauty dishes etc, really hard light.
I suppose it depends on if you view photography as documentation like Lloyd Erlick or as way to create an image of somebody that's impossible in real life. I never let portrait clients see the images straight out of the camera, the lighting I use is way to harsh and makes people look awful because it highlights wrinkles, underlying tonal differences and facial hair, but it provides a great base shot for super softening and styling later in photoshop.

If this was based on network traffic, They would stop sales in stores too. There are more than enough AT&T stores in NYC and other places like Bestbuy that New Yorkers can easily just walk or take a quick subway ride too. Stopping online sales will not deter any New Yorker from purchasing an iPhone.
Fraud seems like a reasonable explanation, anyone who believes otherwise is reaching for the stars.

As I understand it the drugs they use are poisons and the job of the anestisiologist (?) is to give you just enough to nearly kill you and keep that dose constant throughout the op, so your more dead than asleep.
Probably best not to try and fight with the guy trying very hard to not-quite-kill-you!
I guess I never really fight it. I'm out in a heartbeat. I just like to see who long it takes me, which is never long.

I had to rate this front page story as "negative"
just on-a-count-a I'm not used to seeing human faces when I visit the mr site
Make it go down the page, Please!
No human faces? wtf?
will that do then?

Then there are those that are playing a game of "Who am I?" by posting to this inside The Loop via a private, self paid, wireless, VPN.
I am sure there are but I don't really see what you mean, other than that.

There is no way this is legal, and he is now going to have the wrath of Apple's legal department coming at him... and probably also the FBI since this is an international deal. If Foxconn sold him the parts, then they are likely violating all kinds of things with Apple.... so they would never do it legitimately. Had he designed and manufactured his OWN white panels and design, he'd be fine... but this is a young kid that doesn't have the maturity to realize he's into something that he shouldn't be and he's probably going to be paying dearly for it. His best move would be to disappear as quickly as possible.
Just for those who thing this is a hand-slap kind of thing, I worked on a project where someone leaked an industrial design on a product and the FBI arrested them and they were facing 75 years in federal prison for it. This kind of stuff can get you more years than killing someone.

I thought they were committed to Thunderbolt and ignoring USB 3.0
I wish people would actually think before they post sometimes.
YES this connector has USB3, it also has USB2, Thunderbolt and a pretty white cable too.
What people fail to realise is that if you own a current gen/future Mac you can use the thunderbolt part of the connection, if you own an older version then it will use the USB2 part. OR if you are using a USB3 compatible PC then you can use their USB3 connection.
Its actually a quite clever design and means that the iProducts 30pin connector can be relevant for many more years to come.

Nah, if they need to go past 10.7.9, they can go for 10.7.10, 10.7.11 .. 10.7.93 or whatever.
The numbering scheme just looks like it's base 10. It ain't.
The version number used internally throughout the system is contained in 32 bits. The high byte (0-255) is the Major version number [10] in 8 bits. The second highest byte contains the Minor version [4] and the BugFix version [7] as two 4-bit nibbles, so each of those is limited to a max of 15, and the last two bytes contain an 8-bit development stage bitmask and an 8-bit revision number. Thus the OS could conceivably encounter eight more BugFix versions, up to 10.4.15, before Leopard takes over. The Gestalt format is similarly limited; although the value is a long, it holds a hexadecimal representation masked to the lowest 16 bits: 0x1047.
Heaven forbid we use more than one word to describe the system build version. I guess Apple should have packed the Major and Minor version into the two nibbles of the high byte, and designated the BugFix version the entire second byte (0-255)... but then what would we do after Mac OS X 15 is EOL'? ;-)
Personally I think Tiger will RIP at 10.4.9...

-I'd quite like a slot to attach a laptop security cable;
-SD card slot would be nice on the 11"
-I'm not fussed about the Backlit keyboard, i'd rather keep the slim form factor.

I would love to see Apple open up with an entire line of IOS devices. They keep comparing the iPhone with Android despite there being numerous devices from different manufacturers. Having an exclusive product that only a few could was ok when there was no competition. Now, with there being so many cool phones like the EVo and othere, Apple needs ot step the game up.
Offer a Evo sized HD iPhone. The Evo screen even though it is inferior in resolution is nice. Using the map program on it is rnjoyaboe and you do not have to zoom like you do on the iPhone.
Have a iphone Nano that is $100 with a smaller screen if it is possible to still run the apps etc.
Sell the thing on all carriers and give Android a run for its money. i think if a Verizon or Sprint customer had a choice between an iPhone and a Galaxy, they would choose an iPhone.
