Korean superstar Jun Ji-hyun (aka Jeon Ji-hyun) is a Korean actress and model. Jun debuted her career as a model, and later took up acting as well. She first starred in White Valentine (1999) as an actress and was later noted for her role in the movie Il Mare. The handsomely shot scenes at Ganghwa was one of several factors to attract many of her fans. Her biggest breakthrough comes from My Sassy Girl (2001), a hit romance/comedy movie that spawned an American remake which will be released in 2006.

Jun studied at Dongguk University and made her debut as a model for Echo, and since then has model for many clothing lines and more recently, mobile phones and iPod. Some of her more popular product endorsements include Giordano, KFC, Samsung. She was voted as having the "Best Butt in Asia", polling 41% of the total votes, beating Lee Hyo-ri who polled 30%. Jun Ji Hyun will featured as cover girl for the Asia edition of ELLE magazine, she is the first ever Korean to feature on the famous magazine cover.

The romance/comedy movie Windstruck, which was filmed in 2004 together with Jang Hyuk, reunited her with the director of My Sassy Girl, Kwak Jae Young. Windstruck wants to be a more ambitious film than Sassy, so Kwak turns off the fun too soon and retreats to typically South Korean melodrama. Yet the movie manages to rise above its occasional sappiness, thanks mostly to the charm of its two young stars. Jun pulls off her signature trick: veering between violence and vulnerability and back again, without missing a beat.

Jeon Ji-hyun latest film “Daisy” is expected to premiere in January. “Daisy”, directed by Hong Kong director Andrew Lau Wai Keung, written by Kwak Jae-yong, who directed “Windstruck”. “Daisy” is about a story of showdown between an assassin (played by Jeong Woo-seong) and a detective who fall in love with the same woman (played by Ji-hyun).
