I want to bring my wife on H4.
Its been 2 months since I am in US and I have been working since last month i.e. as of now I have only 1 paystub.
Will this be enough for her H4 stamping in INDIA.

USCIS does not accept hand delivered applications. Your lawyer is lying.. Imagine, if they were to accept then how many of us would have stood in the line..........on 2nd July 2007.

Also all said and done CIR still remains a controversial bill, that at the very least has to be debated at length in the house to send out the right signals. If it gets passed in the lame duck, the conservatives will go to town with their story that an amnesty has been shoved down the throats of the american middle class. Even if its multiplied by 100 we should be ok, if the USCIS does a good of not waisting visas by doing their best in the month of Sep. Say we have 6500 * 2 .25 (Family) = 15000people waiting from EB2 2004. Looking at the spillover numbers from last year, we might be lucky enough. Just trying to be optimistic for the next 35 days.
We received our 2nd biometric appointment notice for Sep 11th. Our Notice date is Sep 19th 2007. Just keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for something good. :)

I opted for the CP option as well. My I-140 was approved in Oct 06 and thats when my attorney received the package for Consular processing from NVC.
Although my PD is not current yet, my lawyer asked me to pay the fees so that they can send the packet back to NVC. I am not sure what to do as my PD is not current yet.
How the hell did you get packet 3 from the NVC before you PD was current.??

Which service center? Guys, is this the normal trend? I guess the processing times webpage is showing ~ 3 months.
It looks like not many people are applying for AP renewals, this is simply my observation based on traffic on this topic in IV.
Nebraska Service Center (paper filing). Applied on March 12 and received approval May 10th.

Sorry to hear abt your situation. But buy some insurance either thru COBRA or just generally. Dont go to emergency room without insurance. Not a wise idea.
The last thing you want to worry abt is medical insurance.
I know couple of states like atlanta & texas with out having insurance also they will admitted the pregnent people.

As the report said that there is a possibility that there will be a loss of 40k visas. My question to you is What will be the I485 processing date in the Visa Bulletin if we assume that 40k visas are not loss by the agency. You guess estimate is also fine.
I don't think it will make a huge amount of difference. The visa loss is due to lack of manpower in processing applications. Now there will be even more applications and presumably no extra hands to approve them.

I efiled my AP on 9/5/10 @NSC and it was approved today after requesting expediting on 10/5/10 based on financial loss, I have a business transaction back home for which i need to be present and provided all supporting documentation related to that.
This is what is think is more effective than contacting senators/Ombudsman for expediting, resend all the I-131 supporting documentation,proof of emergency/loss, 2 photos and include a cover letter with bold colorful fonts requesting expediting to the same address you sent your app earlier (btw, i used the USCIS center courier address and not PO Box address), i believe this way your app goes to the officer quicker and he has all the documents needed to approve your case right away if you qualify for expediting, i have used this process more than once and know it works at least for me....you have tried other methods, why not try this as well!

I would further say, what is the difference between you and anti-immigrants in this matter ? You are saying that certain class of people should be kept out of the job market and you have your reasons. Since you are probably US educated, you want those who are non-US educated out of competition. Do not give me the BS reason that those with non-US education are the only ones that fake their resume. As far as faking the resume goes, or bragging goes, its up to the individual. It could be anyone, including Presidents that fake resumes or pad it with embellishments.
The anti-immigrants are saying that they were born here so those who were not born here should be kept of out the job market to reduce competition (and spur wage inflation, which they would call fair wages, but its really wage inflation, the kind that drowned GM and Chrysler).
Would it not behoove you to say that the decision of who should be hired and who shouldn't be hired must be deferred to the employers and not the Government or any other special interest ? As an employer, are they not the most capable party here to make that decision and evaluate their options ? Shouldn't people who create wealth (employers, businesses) have the prerogative to decide who they want to hire to help them create wealth ?

Thanks Almond... your post summarizes exactly how ppl in my position feel. one of my frds did MBA from top 20 B-school but could not change to a new job in management career becoz his I-140 approved but did not file for I-485 yet and worse yet he crossed 6 year H1b. now he is also living on 3 year h-1b extensions with approved I-140. when he was venting his frustration like me, one a$$hole (GC holder) suggested he move back to his home country. funny thing was this a$$hole got her GC becoz she married some bakra who already applied for GC. within 6 months after she arrived in US, her huby got them GCs. This dumb wothless piece of $hit doesnt know how hard (impossible ?) to get GC in this lifetime becoz she got it in 6 months :mad: .
Yeah, and that's another thing. There are a lot of insensitive people out there who don't really know the meaning of sympathy and who think out of their butts. That is why when you feel like venting out you need to really select people that are more compassionate. No one expects a pity party, but at the same time no one should trivialize something as serious as this or give "advice" that is idiotic and that even they, had they been in this situation, would not do. I feel terrible for your friend because he has such education and is stuck like this. It feels like you're wasting the best years of your life just waiting. There is nothing that I or anyone can tell you or your friend to make you feel better but please listen to me and learn from my mistake, and tell your friend, too: DON'T WASTE THIS TIME. If you need to volunteer somewhere to use skills that you have that you are not allowed to use on your present job, DO IT. Or if you can take classes to learn new skills, DO IT. Find a way to be more than what you are now so that when this is over you are not just "floridasun, man stuck in the same job for 10 years" When you finally get out of this hell hole and someone looks at your resume and says, what, you did this for how long!? I was charged Class 1 misdemeanor with battery at California. If I finally reject DA offer (only waive Jail time, but keep the same charge and 52 weeks anger control classes plus 3 yr probation), I have to go jury trial middle of July.
My wife and I just kid around at our apartment, she suddenly scream as pee on pants. (probably from my holding, but at least it is un-intent accident) but she did not tell me the reason that time. As she scream very loudly like be out of control. I try to comfort her but no result :(. Then 2 neighbors call 911. Cop comes, my wife said we kidding around, but not say the real reason for embarassment, sure there is no injury, no mark. But I am so stupid to describe the detail and said word "drag", In my poor English, drag is not that serious. Actually I just lift and hold my wife and try to move her to study room as she want to go there. That's all. But that time, I did not realize that serious. That cop record I am irritated and drag my wife's hand and push her to computer chair ( I really not said that push to chair thing), then she screaming! I was immediatedly arrested that time and leave the fingerprint at police office.
Then I hired a criminal attorney, but DA refuse to dismiss or reduce my class 1 level charge. Only waive the jail time. My attorney said my own statement is not good for me and easy to be attacked.... he tried to persuade me accept offer... :(
I feel really upset but hardly to accept DA's plead to guilty offer. Both my wife and I think I did nothing wrong. Now my wife try to contact DA through email.
I prepare the worst thing, if lose the case in jury, will my GC gone? I filed 485 last June and fingerprint August/2007. The arrest happen at earlier March. And worst case, will I be deported immediately? Now I still in H1, expired at 2011.
Really appreciated if you can give me any advice.:(

IV supports AILF efforts to file the lawsuit and feels that if the lawsuit has a favourable judgement then, it will provide respite to lot of people in the Community IV represents. IV is not an organization which works with one motive and that is to get people out of the greencard mess and IV will support whoever helps its member community.
We feel that revision of Visa bulletin was not correct and AILF is absolutely correct to file a lawsuit against this directive and hence we support AILF in their bid to sue USCIS & DOS
when do u think we may hear some affirmative action in this regard?

How about contacting other already established organisations like ATA, TANA, DTA,BATA, Kannada kutami etc for help? All these organisations are formed by immigrant people from different states in India. They have a huge membership. We can rise funds and memberships by highlighting and explaining our problems. Is there any one pager or document that can be sent to all these orgs and asking them for help in funding as well as political drives?

So EAD is screwed for lots of people, in our case its the E-filed AP. Filed on July 12 and booked tickets to India on Dec 26th and no sign of AP. Looks like we'll have to postpone or cancel the ticket. Thanks to friendly IO in TSC we heard that the photos (sent later thru snail mail) were not attached to the applications...So on the IO's suggestion we sent off a 2nd batch of pics...
