I love how innocent they make the kids out to be. Utterly ridiculous. I would have robbed my parents blind with this. "I thought it was smurf coins, mommy - not real money." ********, I would abuse the system. My sister racked up a $350 phone bill the first month she had a phone - in sixth grade. She knew she only had 100 txts back then, that didn't stop her from Txting. Point is, kids are going to download **** when they can, regardless of how many notifications say "warning! Also it was stated that it is a key feature on the Pro and they need a reason for it to seem "Pro". Who would choose a thicker/heavier computer if you could get the thinner lighter computer with the same features? Minus the optical drive of course.
I'll repeat my analogy from another thread: If Ford all the sudden decided to remove air-conditioning on all but their high end cars, saying it is a 'luxary' feature that 'differentiates' the model line ... we'd ALL call BULL ...!!!

i get very puzzled when people ask for an Arrandale Core I3 ULV when that's slower than the C2D ULVs that we have. People are apparently falling for all the marketing.
I think you mean an i5 or i7 ULV sandy bridge. The cpu will be much stronger but the graphics will be weaker (compared to the 320m nvidia chipset). Sandy bridge integrated graphics are twice arrandale graphics.
Don't fall prey to the megahertz myth. Clock speed is not all. I've got a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 computer (desktop) and my 1.66 GHz core 2 duo (laptop) completely destroys it, even on single threaded tasks. Core 2 duo was extremely efficient compared to pentium 4.

I'm ashamed I work for them. I've always considered Target the "good guys" Wal-mart but the more I get a taste for their corporate side (retail as well as pharmacy) I'm less impressed day by day.

I went on leave of absence for school, but didn't come back over the summer due to me having an internship elsewhere, and they sent me a letter telling me to either quit or come back, so I said goodbye.
Their business practices, while better than Wal-Mart, are nothing to be proud about either. Maybe if they spent more time improving the shopping experience and less time high pressuring customers, err, guests, for those god damn target visa cards, loss of DVD sales wouldn't be a problem

But if you want to generate electricity from them, then just connect them into a circuit with out any powersupply i.e. stick a fan's power terminals on that, stick one side of the TEC on a hot chip or cup of tea etc. to setup the delta T. (temp difference) then the fan will start spinning!

I just downloaded the latest Garage Band for my MBP. Upon trying to use certain instruments it gives me some message about "the instrument or loop you've selected is not currently installed on your machine. Would you like to download and install all of the Garage Band instruments and loops at this time?"
Well, I've now downloaded and installed the additional content THREE times and STILL....every single time I reopen GB and try to use one of those instruments, I get the EXACT SAME MESSAGE!....:confused:
How many times does one have to download and install Apple software before your Apple computer acknowledges that you've done so?:(
I've tried to request a refund for the whole damn app, as this aggravation has now soured me on the program in total. However, every single time I try to report a problem to the app store, Apple has totally changed the site, the way you file a complaint is different, the screens are different, the hoops they make you jump through are different, the options on offer are different...blah, blah, blah. :mad:
This feels like a deliberate attempt to just wear unhappy customers down and just get them to give up and go away. Now there's some absurd, Twitter style character limit window that you have to type your problem into? WTF? How rude and dismissive? All their bs about being "easy and intuitive and user friendly" goes out the window when you want to make a complaint or simply ask a question, THEN it's an ever changing minefield of screens, buttons, and dead ends.:apple:

The government wants to make sure that, as online piracy moves increasingly to streaming, the law keeps up with the activity. Currently, "reproducing" and "distributing" copyrighted works are felony charges, and they cover peer-to-peer file-sharing.

Go with DirecTV. Their new iPad app is awesome, acts as the best remote ever. Instead of paging through listings, I can swipe momentum style through the guide on my screen and tune my TV directly through it. No iPad watching yet, but I imagine sometime soon enough when they all start to offer it, the competition will force it. I can create multiple guides for things like sports, kids, movies, news. They all live update. Set and control your DVR all through the app.

I messed with it for about 5 minutes and it's nowhere near Soundtrack, IMO. Now I'm not an audio or video pro, but I like to do some tinkering. But as someone else stated, Adobe Audition is much more competition to Soundtrack is than SoundBooth.
Also, this doesn't necessarily need to be a UB. Heck, from what I saw it doesn't really even fill a need with the Intel Macs. Logic and Soundtrack seem to be much better options.

It's meant for an audience who doesn't care about the advanced features of Audition but would like to clean up audio or build simple beats. While it does have a couple of similar features to Soundtrack, it's a much more basic program.
Also, I questioned the guy about the PPC thing. He said any existing programming that supports PPC will continue to be supported through at least one more release, since they already have the PPC code foundation. Anything new will be Intel-only, because the architechture is the same. They were told that if they waited for Soundbooth to be released on PPC, there would be no Mac version of Soundtrack.

From the video there looks like there is a lot of space between the front and back plates and the metal part....perhaps this is a converted iPhone 4 as this is not present on black ones,,,,a bad conversion at that.......:(
